Review Comments The Lynx 14 is a 14' LOD gaff/gunter rigged sailboat.  The plans call for stitch & glue construction, where the panels and bulkheads are "stitched" together with wire, then the seams are filleted with thickened epoxy and cover the fiberglass tape and epoxy (or other resin).  The plans come with eight sheet and a set of instructions.  The drawings are typically in a 1:10 scale, with a couple of diagrams in 1:20, 1:15.  The set provided by Paul Fisher have metric measurements, while I understand versions with English measure are available.  The plans a nicely laid out an easy to follow and the drawings are numerically labeled and keyed back to the instruction manual. The instructions are concise and while sufficient for an experienced I would recommend that a first time boat building also have a reference book on stitch & glue boat building. (i.e., Payson's "Build The New Instant Boats" )  There is a two page description of this method of building with the plans, so the supplemental reading is suggested.  There are a few bonuses with this set of plans first is an alternate sail plan with a second rear mounted mizzen mast and sail, secondly their are layouts for bulkheads to build using ply/clinker style and my favorite feature is panel layouts for at 15' version with the extra foot of length applied to the cockpit.  The features I found appealing in this desgin are the dual bilge boards that allow for more space in the cabin, important in this smaller size boat.   Stitch & Glue is a my perferred construction method, a personal bias, another reason I like the design.  I also think her size is just about perfect for the home boat builder trying to build in a standard 2 car garage, or backyard.
